NBA 2K21 Current Gen received eleven patches from September 2020 through May 2021, covering gameplay tuning, mode fixes, and seasonal content for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

• New: 2K Beach received seasonal themes across multiple patches, including Halloween, fall, winter holiday, Lunar New Year, and summer decorations.
• Updated: Player likenesses improved for dozens of NBA and WNBA players throughout the patch cycle, with court floors, uniforms, and team branding also refreshed.
• Fixed: Shot meter size increased and Pro Stick aiming rebalanced in patches 1.02 and 1.03 based on community feedback.
• Fixed: Multiple stability hangs resolved across MyCAREER, MyTEAM, and MyLEAGUE/MyGM in nearly every update.
• Updated: MyTEAM received preparations for $250,000 Unlimited Tournaments, Dark Matter card fixes, and win/loss exploit patches.
• Fixed: Park dribble moves relocated to L3 and locked behind Hall of Fame Tight Handles badge in patch 1.04 to reduce exploits.
