About APN
An index of game updates that always links back to the source.
APN keeps patch notes, news, events, guides, and videos for the games it covers in one feed. Every entry has a working link to where it came from. That is the whole pitch.
Why APN exists
Live-service games ship faster than any news site keeps up with. Patches drop at odd hours. Hotfixes land mid-event. The most accurate write-up is often a Reddit thread that disappears in eight hours.
APN treats every update like data. Each entry stays versioned, dated, and findable months later. No listicles. No republishing patch notes as our own. We index, we summarize where it helps, and we link back to the original.
How we work
- Developers and publishers come first. Community posts only when they add real reporting.
- Every claim has a link to where it came from. No exceptions.
- Corrections go on the entry that was wrong, not in a roundup at the end of the week.
- Each content type (patch note, event, news, guide, video) has its own layout, not a generic article template.
Who we trust as a source
Developers and publishers first. Then verified press with first-party access. Then creators and community archivists who do their own reporting (not aggregators reposting someone else's work).
Anything outside that gets reviewed case by case.
Where AI fits
APN uses AI for two narrow jobs: writing a short summary of a long patch note, and extracting fields like version and date from announcements. Summaries are editable, the source link is always more prominent than the summary, and AI does not write opinion here.
How APN is funded
APN is independent. No publisher owns it. No platform holder owns it. No sponsored patch coverage. If paid features ship later, they unlock extras. Reporting stays free.
