The South African Olifant Mk.1B Optimering features a unique turret with enhanced frontal protection, plus blowout panels designed to protect the crew in the event of an ammunition detonation. The Olifant Optimering well-balanced tank, offering solid mobility and the same 105 mm gun found on the Olifant Mk.2 that can fire effective DM63 APFSDS rounds. Better yet, unlike the Mk.2 variant, the Olifant Optimering is equipped with a thermal imager, an essential device for modern combat scenarios!

As the Olifant is a further evolution of the Centurion platform, it has inherited the primary vulnerabilities of its distant ancestor. Namely, a cramped crew layout and susceptibility to fire from the side. Therefore, make sure to have a clear understanding of the tactical situation, as this is key to the Olifant Optimering’s survival in combat.

The JAS39-5 is a pre-production variant of the Swedish Gripen multirole jet fighter. A signature feature of this series is its high speed and prominent canards, which ensure excellent maneuverability and responsive handling at all speeds.

In terms of its armament, the JAS39-5 is exceptionally versatile and can be easily configured for both air-to-air combat and ground-attack missions. In air engagements, the Gripen can initiate combat at long ranges using RB 99 missiles equipped with active radar homing seekers; for medium-range engagements, it employs missiles with semi-active radar homing seekers; and for close-range dogfights, it utilizes all-aspect infrared-homing missiles. For ground-attack missions, it can deploy laser-guided bombs, air-to-surface missiles with television-guidance seekers, and unguided munitions. Another notable feature of this series is the availability of external pods containing additional countermeasures, which can be mounted on the underwing hardpoints alongside air-to-air missiles.

Please note that vehicle specifications may be subject to revision and change before being added to the game.
