War Thunder opened its doors to everyone on November 1st 2012, the day the game’s Open Beta test began. Thanks to everyone who has stayed with us ever since, as well as everyone who has joined us over the past 14 years. Come celebrate the game’s birthday with us! We have the Maus tank, a commemorative decal, in-game store discounts, a tournament, and the remarkable Mistel 2 bomber waiting for you.
Dreams Come True: Mistel 2
When: From October 28th (11:00 GMT) until November 11th (11:00 GMT)
Take part in the Dreams Come True event to receive a profile frame, fun decals and one of the most unusual strike systems in history, the German Mistel 2 aircraft that has two aircraft attached together!
The Mistel 2 combines an Fw 190 A-8 fighter with its armament removed and a Ju 88 G-1 bomber, the forward section of which was converted into a massive bomb with a shaped-charge warhead. Due to its unusual configuration, it was nicknamed “Father and Son”.
