Path of Exile 2 0.1.1 was an endgame cleanup patch more than a flashy content drop. The through line is early mapping friction: Towers got new layouts, Lost Towers were reworked, maps gained checkpoints, and Citadels became easier to spot on the Atlas.
The Atlas changes are the real meat. 0.1.1 added Alpine Ridge, Bluff, Mesa, and Sinking Spire as Tower Map areas. Maps now carry at least three rare monsters, and GGG pushed more identity into individual areas, with some maps leaning harder into monsters, chests, Essences, Strongboxes, or Shrines. Overseer's Precursor Tablets also matter because they let completed Towers add map bosses to valid maps nearby.
The Arbiter of Ash detail needs precision because older copy around this video repeated the preview number. The final official notes shipped up to five respawn attempts at base difficulty, not six, with fewer attempts on higher difficulties. That still made pinnacle attempts less brutal, but it did not remove the cost of a bad run: leaving the map still forfeits the attempt, and the key owner controls the respawn.
For build planning, the unique buffs are worth checking one by one rather than treating the whole patch as a rebuild signal. The better read is practical: mapping got denser and easier to parse, pinnacle attempts got a little less brittle, and several item changes became candidates to test after you verify the final notes.
