Welcome to the Tau Ceti Cup, a deadly competition where six teams take on Tau Ceti and compete for the title of the first ever Tau Ceti Cup Champions.
The tournament will go live on Saturday, March 14 at 11 AM PT featuring IceManIsaac and Activee to cast all of the action. Over the course of the tournament, teams are tasked with earning favor for each faction, eliminating high-value targets, and clearing the competition from Tau Ceti.
The winning team will take home exclusive prizing, with each member receiving a custom Marathon jacket created by Australian cosplayer Vamprea, alongside rewards for their community.

Scoring and Contracts
Runs will be scored based on kills and extracted loot value. Runs will be counted only if at least one team member successfully exfils. Contract completion will be counted even if a team gets wiped.
Each team’s total point score will be calculated by the following:
- Scoring format: (Loadout value) + [AI kills + player kills] x extraction multiplier (+5% per person) = total score for the run

- 1000 - AI kill
- 5000 - Player finished kill
- Extraction Multiplier
- +5% per team member extracted
- Max possible modifier: +15%
Priority Contracts are map-specific objectives that will earn participants the most amount of points and may be redeemed once.

- 50,000 - Eliminate the UESC Wraith Warden in Overflow
- Dire Marsh
- 100,000 - Eliminate the UESC Flame Warden in Algae Pond
- Outpost
- 10,000 - Enter the Pinwheel Ship
- 50,000 - Complete a Profit Opportunity in the Pinwheel Ship
Profit Opportunities
- Faction-specific contracts - Each Worth 50,000 points (redeemable once per team for the duration of the event)
- Traxus: Have one team member extract with at least 20,000 loot value in their backpack
- Sekiguchi: Have one team member extract with a Purple implant in every slot
- Purple implants brought into runs (from any player) are not counted
- Arachne: As a team, kill 9 Runners or Rooks in a single run
- MIDA: As a team, get 3 Runner Eliminations with Explosives or Throwables in a single run
- NuCal: 20,000 for each NuCal 2X Drinkable Cheeseburger extracted on Perimeter
- Note: NuCal can be redeemed multiple times across multiple runs

Twitch Drops
There are three rewards up for grabs during the Tau Ceti Cup. Tune in to any of the competitors Twitch streams on Saturday, March 14 from 11 AM PT to 4 PM PT to secure:
- Profile Emblem: Angry Bunny (Watch for 1 hour)
- Profile Background: Angry Bunny (Watch for 2 hours)
- Weapon Sticker: Angry Bunny (Watch for 3 hours)

Marathon Australia Invitational
PlayStation Australia and Bungie invite players to tune in for the Marathon Australia Invitational, going live Thursday, March 12 at 7 PM AEDT.
This invite-only tournament brings together some of Australia’s most recognisable creators to compete live in Marathon, celebrating competitive play and community ahead of launch. The tournament will be hosted live on the REKT Twitch channel, with each team also streaming their own perspectives.
The winning team will take home exclusive prizing, with each member receiving a custom Marathon jacket created by Australian cosplayer Vamprea, alongside a Marathon Collector’s Edition.
