Introducing the latest patch notes for Path of Exile! Get ready for the highly anticipated Lake of Kalandra Expansion with its new Supporter Packs. But that's not all - this update also brings some exciting changes to Microtransaction Flask Effects, allowing them to affect your Minions. In addition to these game-changing additions, this patch includes a range of improvements and bug fixes. Divine Vessels can now modify Maps when you have the Stream of Consciousness Atlas Keystone Passive allocated, and the Soul Conduit monster modifier can raise up to 30 nearby monsters to fight again on death. Plus, we've fixed issues where certain bosses were not immune to knockback and where defeating Aul, the Crystal King didn't grant credit towards The Forsaken Masters achievement. This patch contains a handful of improvements and bug fixes, alongside fixes for a couple of client crashes.

3.18.1c Patch Notes
This patch contains further improvements to Path of Exile's texture system, alongside a number of general improvements and bug fixes.
General Improvements and Changes
- Improved the texture systems memory usage and performance.
- Heist Contracts and Blueprints now display which job level requirements are unmet in red.
- You can now change the keybind for opening the Atlas Skill Tree in the Options menu.
- The radius of Ground Effects from Map modifiers are no longer affected by increases and reductions to Map modifier effect.
- Added audio for Burning, Chilled and Shocked Ground Effects.
- Improved the audio of Shocked Ground trail left by Monsters with the Storm Strider modifier.
- Updated the description on the Map modifier that causes Monsters to have a chance to remove Power, Frenzy and Endurance Charges on Hit, as it can also remove any type of Charge on Hit (such as Inspiration or Void Charges).
- Updated the description on the Supreme Ego Keystone Passive Skill to clarify the "more Mana Reservation" only applies to Aura Skills, rather than all Skills.
Controller Support Improvements and Fixes
- Improved the targeting range of Animate Weapon in Controller input mode.
- Fixed a bug where it was possible to open the Harvest Crafting interface when in combat in Controller input mode.
- Fixed a client crash that could occur when using Controller input mode.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed a bug where Power, Frenzy and Endurance Charges sometimes did not update their visuals when equipping an Item or Microtransaction that provided an Alternate Charges Skin.
- Fixed a bug where in the Uber Shaper and Uber-Uber Elder Boss Fights, The Shaper's Ultimate Chaos (bullet hell) skill could have more projectiles than expected.
- Fixed a bug that caused character dialogue to be played at incorrect times (such as when first logging in), and dialogue from unique items such as Oni-Goroshi and Jack, The Axe to not play.
- Fixed a bug where Hexproof Enemies could sometimes be unaffected by Curses that affect Hexproof Enemies.
- Fixed a bug which caused projectile avoidance to only be checked once for some skills, such as The Searing Exarch's rolling meteor skill, and not throughout the skill (so if you avoided or were hit by the first damage instance of the skill, you'd avoid or be hit by all of them).
- Fixed a few cases where some sounds could be unaffected by the volume slider.
3.18.1 Patch Notes
This patch contains a number of general improvements and bug fixes of both small- and medium-importance.
General Improvements and Changes
- Improved the behaviour of some travel skills when repeated through Echoing Shrine or the Echoist modifier gained by killing monsters. Flame Dash, Whirling Blades and Dash now repeat in the same direction as the initial use. Shield Charge is now able to repeat, though only the larger area attack performed upon reaching your target is repeated. Attacking in place with Leap Slam now repeats in the same direction as the initial use.
- The Thorned Vines debuff applied by monsters with the Entangler modifier no longer causes you to take 10% of your Maximum Life and Energy Shield as Chaos Damage if you use a travel skill while vined.
- Monsters with the Magma Barrier modifier now only spawn Fire Volatiles when a player is within 70 units of them.
- The Trickster Monster modifier can no longer be found on Monsters imprisoned in Essence Monoliths.
- The number of Totems spawned from Rare Monster Packs with the Heralding Minions modifier is now limited to 5.
- Reduced the damage of Molten Minotaur's enraged slam attack by 25%.
- It is no longer possible to re-deploy a different Apex Sentinel to the one originally summoned in an Area with the "Apex Sentinels can be re-deployed after being dismissed" Runic Node allocated in the Sentinel Controller.
- Time-frozen Legion monsters can no longer be empowered by Sentinels.
- Essence Monoliths now display the modifiers and Tormented Spirits that are affecting or possessing the imprisoned Essence Monster.
- Portals will now first open next to the Map Device interactable when opening a Map in the large Map Device.
- Added a debuff visual for Wrath of the Cosmos to display how many stacks you have in an area.
- Added the Sentinel Locker to the Guild Hideout Decorations list.
- Added a Controller input keybind for copying the above Favoured Map to the selected Favoured Map Slot.
- Updated various Atlas Passive Skill, Sextant and Eldritch Altar descriptions to clarify they only apply to the last Map Boss killed in a Map if there are multiple.
- Updated Impossible Escape Unique Jewels obtained prior to the 3.18.0b patch that had rolled Phase Acrobatics to instead have Acrobatics.
- Updated the description on the Purposeful Harbinger Cluster Jewel Notable to clarify it applies to Auras from your Skills, not those of your Allies.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed an issue where it was possible to earn credit towards the Complete Delirium Encounters Challenge by completing any Tier of 100% Delirious Map with at least four modifiers, rather than a 100% Delirious Tier 16 Map with at least four modifiers.
- Fixed a bug where Energy Shield Leech could be removed upon reaching maximum Energy Shield with the Soul Drinker Ascendancy Passive Skill allocated from the Forbidden Flame and Forbidden Flesh Jewels.
- Fixed a bug where the Life of some Delve Monsters could overflow from the Life Regeneration provided by standing on Consecrated Ground, causing them to die instantly but visually become untargetable.
- Fixed a bug where Sentinel-empowered monsters could be harder to gain Fortification from with fortifying hits than they should be.
- Fixed a bug where Atziri's Apparition was not using any skills in Vaal Ritual encounters.
- Fixed a bug where a Summoned Holy Relic would become invisible after entering a new area or levelling up Summon Holy Relic gem.
- Fixed a bug where some Monsters, most notably Breach Monsters, could appear with multiple of the same Monster modifier visual.
- Fixed a bug where The Unbreakable's Magnetic Beam skill would visually flail around.
- Fixed an issue where the vendor recipes for a Magic Weapon with an added elemental damage modifier was not working correctly with Bows.
- Fixed a bug where some Alternate Art Uniques were not using their alternate 3D art.
- Fixed a visual bug where Support Gems socketed in The Squire could appear to snapshot.
- Fixed a bug where Bounty Targets from the Smuggling Routes Atlas Passive Skill could display their minimap icon while dead.
- Fixed a bug where filtering in the Heist Locker was not functioning correctly.
- Fixed a bug where Gem level-up buttons could sometimes re-shuffle when clicked.
- Fixed a bug where pressing 'O' with the Options menu open could sometimes fail to close the menu.
- Fixed a bug where attempting to store an item ignoring Affinites was not working for the Guild Stash in Controller input mode.
- Fixed a bug where the Stellar Core in the Polaric Hideout could not be interacted with in Controller input mode.
- Fixed a bug where the Minotaur Weapon Effect microtransaction was not working correctly.
- Fixed a bug where the Darkprism Shield microtransaction was not playing its rotate animation correctly.
- Fixed a clipping problem with the Wrangler Hat microtransaction.

3.18.0d Hotfix 1
- Fixed a longstanding bug where text could become mangled.
- Fixed a visual bug with Celestial Toxic Rain that caused flickering white boxes.
- Fixed a bug where the "Show Ritual Rewards" button could sometimes disappear upon returning to a map.

3.18.0d Patch Notes
This patch includes changes to monster modifiers that provide ailment immunity, as well as a few improvements and bug fixes of both small- and medium-importance.
Monster modifier changes
- Frostweaver: No longer grants immunity to Cold Ailments. It now grants 80% reduced effect of Cold Ailments.
- Permafrost: No longer grants immunity to Freeze and Chill. It now grants 80% reduced effect of Cold Ailments.
- Flameweaver: No longer grants immunity to Scorch. It now grants 80% reduced effect of Scorch.
- Stormweaver: No longer grants immunity to Lightning Ailments. It now grants 80% reduced effect of Lightning Ailments.
- Dynamo: No longer grants immunity to Shock. It now grants 80% reduced effect of Lightning Ailments.
- Frost Strider: No longer grants immunity to Cold Ailments. It now grants 80% reduced effect of Cold Ailments.
- Ice Prison: No longer grants immunity to Cold Ailments. It now grants 50% reduced effect of Cold Ailments.
- Flame Strider: No longer grants immunity to Scorch. It now grants 80% reduced effect of Scorch.
- Storm Strider: No longer grants immunity to Lightning Ailments. It now grants 80% reduced effect of Lightning Ailments.
- Mana Siphoner: No longer grants immunity to Lightning Ailments. It now grants 50% reduced effect of Lightning Ailments.
- Storm Herald: No longer grants immunity to Lightning Ailments. It now grants 50% reduced effect of Lightning Ailments.
- Steel-infused: Now grants "Overwhelm 10% of Physical Damage Reduction" (previously 30%).
- Rejuvenating: Reduced the life regeneration for Unique Monsters from Healing Nova to 10% of life regenerated over 2 seconds.
- Effigy: Summoned Effigies are now spawned at the player's location and are immune to damage for 2 seconds after linking to a player. While linked, 50% of damage from Hits taken by the Effigy is also taken by the player as reflected damage (previously 100%).
- Crystal-skinned: Improved the charge up visuals of crystals.
- The Trickster monster modifier can no longer be found on Magic or Rare Monsters in the Azurite Mine.
- The Juggernaut monster modifier can no longer be found on Blighted Monsters.
Improvements and bug fixes
- Character level no longer prevents you from using Sentinels in Act Areas.
- Updated the description of the Sentinel Runic Node that causes found Normal-rarity Sentinels to be upgraded to Magic rarity to clarify it applies to Sentinels found from Monsters you kill and Chests you open.
- Updated the Controller input mode keybind for equipping a Sentinel. Using this keybind when highlighting an equippable Sentinel will now also open the Sentinel Controller Panel.
- Using the equip keybind in Controller input mode will now swap the Sentinel highlighted in your inventory with the relevant Sentinel in your Sentinel Controller Panel if you already have one equipped.
- The charges on equipped Sentinels can now be viewed using the Right-stick button in Controller input mode.
- The destructible pillars in the Polaric Hideout can no longer be moved by player skills.
- The Invisible Buff Effect Microtransaction can now be applied to Withering Step, allowing you to hide its visual effects.
- Fixed a bug that allowed Bow, Wand and Concoction Skills to be used with the Varunastra Unique equipped.
- Fixed an issue where you could fail to obtain credit towards the Complete Encounters II challenge when completing an 8-mod Blight-Ravaged Map.
- Fixed a bug where Kirac's "Slay the Beyond Boss" Atlas Mission could not be completed.
- Fixed a bug where the size sliders in the Unique and Divination Card Stash Tabs were not working in Controller input mode.
- Fixed a client crash that could occur when trying to enter The Control Blocks in Act 5.
3.18.0b Hotfix 1
This patch contains balance changes to Archnemesis Modifiers that were foreshadowed in our recent news posts. Please note that this is not our final set of changes and we have further improvements planned. However, please feel free to share feedback with us in the meantime based on the below changes and we'll continue to keep it in mind as we go forward.
Monster and Modifier Changes
- Rejuvenating: Verdant Spores inflicted by the Healing Nova now grants 60% reduced Recovery Rate of Life and Energy Shield (previously prevented players from recovering Life or Energy Shield). The Healing Nova can no longer be used if the Monster with this modifier is on full life.
- Magma Barrier: Summoned Fire Volatiles are now much more visible and have had their explosion damage reduced significantly.
- Toxic: Magic Monsters now have a 50% chance to create a Toxic Volatile on death (previously always). Now grants +40% to Chaos Resistance (previously +50%).
- Frenzied: Now grants 40% increased Damage while Frenzied (previously 50%), and 25% increased Action Speed while Frenzied (previously 50%).
- Overcharged: Now grants +1 to Maximum Frenzy, Power and Endurance Charges (previously 2).
- Effigy: Summoned Effigies will now wait 2 seconds before using their Taunt Skill upon linking to a Player.
- Mana Siphoner: Reduced the Lightning Damage Over Time taken by Enemies in the Aura by 33%, and the amount of Mana lost per second by Enemies in the Aura by 67%. We are also looking to improve the visual clarity and reduce the size of the Ring in the near future.
- Incendiary: Now grants 100% increased Ignite Damage (previously 300%) and +50% to Fire Resistance (previously +75%).
- Bloodletter: Now grants 50% increased Damage with Bleeding (previously 100%).
- Chaosweaver: Now grants +40% to Chaos Resistance (previously +50%).
- Entangler: Now grants +30% to Chaos Resistance (previously +40%). We previously stated in a news post that this modifier provided +50% to Chaos Resistance, the correct value was +40%.
- Arakaali-touched: Now grants +50% to Chaos Resistance (previously +60%).
- Shakari-touched: Now grants +50% to Chaos Resistance (previously +60%).
- Storm Strider: Trigger Lightning Mirage when Hit now has a 0.75 second global cooldown (previously 0.5 second).
- Frost Strider: Trigger Snow bolt when Hit now has a 0.75 second global cooldown (previously 0.5 second).
- Assassin: Now grants 70% reduced Extra Damage from Critical Strikes (previously take no Extra Damage from Critical Strikes).
- Drought Bringer: Nearby Enemies' Flasks now lose 6 Charges every 3 seconds (previously 15 Charges every 3 seconds).
- Invulnerable: Can no longer appear on Magic Monsters, or Rare Monsters that aren't part of a Monster Pack (such as those spawned in Blight encounters). We plan to review this modifier further and make it more similar to the Benevolent Guardian Nemesis modifier.
- Reduced the number of Magic and Rare Monster that can spawn in Ritual Encounters. The amount of Tribute granted by Rare and Magic Monsters has been increased to compensate for this change.
- Soul Conduit, Final Gasp, Mirror Image and Opulent Monster modifiers can no longer appear on Ritual Monsters.
- The inherent Maximum Life bonuses from Monster modifiers no longer apply to Metamorphs.
- The Mirror Image Monster modifier can no longer appear on Metamorphs.
- Magic Blackguard Elites that accompany Piety in The Crematorium and General Gravicius in The Ebony Barracks in Act 3 now have 40% less Life.
Bug fixes
- Fixed a bug where Heralding Totems and Lightning Beacons from the Heralding Minions and Storm Strider modifiers would sometimes fail to despawn.
- Fixed a bug where the Impossible Escape Unique Jewel could roll Keystones no longer on the Passive Skill Tree.

- Fixed a bug where players were unable to teleport to another player's hideout while they were in a map.
3.18.0 Hotfix 3
- Rare monsters now spawn with one fewer Archnemesis mod.
