MechWarrior Online – 22 November 2022 Patch Notes | Unleash the Power of Energy Weapons

Introduction

In the latest round of weapon adjustments, the developers have made some notable changes to enhance gameplay. Energy weapons, such as the Medium Pulse Laser, have received a boost in range, with the optimum range now reaching 240m and the maximum range extended to 480m. On the other hand, the Snub Nose PPC has seen a reduction in its maximum range, now capped at 540m instead of the previous 630m. These adjustments aim to provide a more balanced and dynamic combat experience for players. In addition to weapon adjustments, 'Mech quirks have also undergone some fine-tuning. The Osiris 'Mech variants have received various enhancements, including increased structure bonuses, improved missile velocity and range, reduced heat generation, and faster target information gathering speed. These changes are designed to optimize the performance and versatility of the Osiris 'Mechs, allowing pilots to adapt to different combat scenarios with greater efficiency. Whether you're a fan of energy weapons or 'Mech quirks, these updates promise to bring exciting new possibilities to the battlefield.

MAP FIXES & ADJUSTMENTS

Changes have been made to the following maps:
TERRA THERMA CLASSIC - CRUCIBLE
A supermassive eruption has occurred on Terra Therma and the landscape has been reshaped by this cataclysmic event.
Geological surveys taken in the aftermath have discovered Germanium deposits valued in the billions if they can be harvested safely.
Enterprising mining companies are now enlisting the help of mercenaries to help secure the area and set up operations.

Terra Therma (Classic) has been reworked and is now named Terra Therma Crucible.
The goal of this rework was to eliminate all the problematic areas of the (Classic) version of this map.
The second floor was the core of the map has been eliminated and the bottom floor now serves as the foundation of the map.
The center has been opened up to support longer range combat from the circlular rock formation and the surrounding hills.
Domination and Conquest Theta capture points are centrally located in the middle of the Crucible.
Beware of the consequences of entering the lava pit. There is no protection if you get caught in the open.
EMERALD VALE

Patch Files (Direct Download)
To make the patching process easier for players with limited download caps, we'll be providing direct download links for the patch file(s) that comprise this patch. This will allow you to download the patch file(s) elsewhere, for manual injection into the MWO patcher through a Patch Cache folder. Aside from allowing you to download the patch file(s) elsewhere, on another connection, there are no additional benefits to performing the patch this way; the patching process itself will be the same. This direct patch download process will only work for players running the standalone client. It does not apply to players running MWO through Steam. Patch File(s): - http://patcher.mwomercs.com/patch/Production/frontend/FrontendPatch_409.zip
  • Download the above file(s)
  • For sake of ease, we recommend creating a dedicated folder for the patch file(s), such as 'MWO Patch Cache'
  • You do not need to unzip or unpack the patch file(s)
  • Launch the MWO Portal
  • Select the three horizontal lines in the top left of the Portal Window
  • Choose the 'Specify Patch File Cache' option
  • In the field that appears, paste or enter the location in which you saved the patch file(s) and hit OK
  • For example, C:\Users\<username>\Documents\MWO Patch Cache
  • Click the blue Patch button
  • The launcher will now check the Patch Cache folder you defined. If it locates the required patch files, it will unpack and use those files to apply the patch.
  • Once the patch is complete, launch the game
