Fortnite – 16.10 Patch Notes

WHAT’S NEW

With the new Health Powerup, you can heal or harm players by adjusting their health and shield levels during games. Apply healing or damage instantly or gradually, or set health and shields to the exact numbers you desire.

DEVICES

  • Health Powerup.
    • This Powerup allows player health and shield values to be manipulated during the game.  Like other Powerups it can be used as a pickup object or applied remotely via channels.
    • The Powerup model will change automatically based on which attributes are being affected and whether the impact is positive or negative.
    • This device has the following options:
      • Modify: Health Only, Shield Only, Both (Default: Health Only)
      • Effect: Flat Increase, % Increase, Flat Decrease, % Decrease, Set To (Default: Flat Increase)
      • Effect Magnitude: 0-15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100, 125, 150, 175, 200, 250, 300, 350, 400, 450, 500, 600, 700, 800, 900, 1000, 1250, 1500, 1750, 2000, 2500 (Default: 20)
      • Effect Duration: Instant, 3 seconds, 5 seconds, 10 seconds, 20 seconds, 30 seconds, 1 minute, 2 minutes, 5 minutes, Infinite (Default: Instant)
        • For durations other than Instant, the Effect Magnitude is applied once every second.
      • Show Visual Effect on Player: Yes, No (Default: Yes)
      • Disables Effect on Pickup: Yes, No (Default: No)
      • Pickup Radius: On Touch, 0.25, 0.5, 0.75, 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3, 3.5, 4, 4.5, 5 (Default: On Touch)
      • Time to Respawn: Never, Instant, 5 seconds, 10 seconds, 15 seconds, 20 seconds, 25 seconds, 30 seconds, 45 seconds, 1 minute, 1.5 minutes, 2 minutes, 3 minutes, 4 minutes, 5 minutes (Default: 15 seconds)
      • Spawn on Minigame Start: Yes, No (Default: Yes)
      • Ambient Audio: On, Off (Default: On)
      • Pick Up Audio: On, Off (Default: On)
      • Selected Team: Any, 1-16 (Default: Any)
      • Selected Class: Any, 1-16 (Default: Any)
      • Apply To: Player, Player’s Team, Player’s Class, Same Class in Player’s Team, All Players (Default: Player)
      • Who Can See This Powerup: None, All, Only Players that can Pick Up (Default: Only Player that can Pick Up)
      • Spawn When Receiving From: No Channel, 1-150 (Default: No Channel)
      • Despawn When Receiving From: No Channel, 1-150 (Default: No Channel)
      • Pickup When Receiving From: No Channel, 1-150 (Default: No Channel)
      • When Item Picked Up Transmit On: No Channel, 1-150 (Default: No Channel)
  • Additonal changes to Powerups.
    • The Powerups Gallery has been removed and individual Powerups can now be found in the Device Gallery.
    • Existing Powerups have had new options added to them:
      • Selected Team: Any, 1-16 (Default: Any)
      • Selected Class: Any, 1-16 (Default: Any)
      • Apply To: Player, Player’s Team, Player’s Class, Same Class in Player’s Team, All Players (Default: Player)
      • Who Can See This Powerup: None, All, Only Players that can Pick Up (Default: Only Player that can Pick Up)
  • Mutator Zone device – new options
    • Allow Editing: Yes, No (Default: Yes) – Enables or Disables editing of player-built structures within the zone (normal Edit permissions apply).
    • Building Cost: 0%, 25%, 50%, 75%, 100%, 125%, 150%, 200% (Default: 100%) – Adjusts the resource cost for building structures within the zone.
    • Building Speed: 25%, 50%, 75%, 100%, 125%, 150%, 200% (Default: 100%) – Adjusts the speed at which player structures build once placed.

DEVICE FIXES

  • Fixed an issue where players were able to use Wolverine Claws with other skins after using the Phone Booth.
  • Fixed an issue where players were stuck in Build mode after exiting the Phone Booth.
  • Fixed an issue where the underside of the Barrier Device had z-fighting.
  • Fixed an issue where the Barrier Device and Barrier Plate Device had the same name in the inventory.
  • Fixed an issue where the Barrier Device had collision when Enabled During Phase was set to All.

ISLANDS BUG FIXES

  • Fixed an issue where switching islands did not reset island settings.
  • Fixed an issue where the player rift would not appear when Creative Don’t Fill was selected on the front end tile.
  • Fixed an issue where players entered slow motion in the Hub after a game ended.
  • Fixed an issue where the My Island Player Name and Location setting overrode the Class Designer’s Player Names and Location setting.
  • Fixed an issue where the gold rift changed ownership after a new island was created by players in a large group.

GAMEPLAY BUG FIXES

  • Fixed an issue where players could not set 999 for max ammo.
  • Fixed an issue where players could not drive vehicles.
  • Fixed an issue where Creatures would get stuck or glitch through obstacles.

WEAPONS AND ITEMS BUG FIXES

  • Fixed an issue where players were able to spawn unreleased mythic items.
  • Fixed an issue where Tires did not apply bounce when hidden under primitives or props.
