Minecraft – 15-Day Celebration Recap
Back when I still went to parties, my favorite part would be when the crowd thinned out and the conversations got really deep. Well, consider this recap our little post-party chat, where we reminisce about those surprise-filled fifteen days, get a bit sappy, and then I make everyone help wash the dishes. Just kidding, I won’t get emotional this time.

DAY 1: Up to 50% off Minecraft games

To maximize the guest list, we lowered the price of Minecraft games across platforms by up to 50%*, and up to 70%* on mobile! And you can still get the discount on certain platforms. If that’s not an invitation, I don’t know what it is. Plus, our printer broke so we had to improvise.

DAY 2: Celebrate 10 years of Java Realms with a free map

Every party needs a venue, especially a double birthday! That’s right, not only did Minecraft turn 15 but Java Realms also turned 10. To celebrate a collective quarter of a century, 100+ map makers put together a map so packed with wonders it’ll blow you away. Get it here!

DAY 3: Free Anniversary Cape

It’s probably too late to mention this but our celebration did have a dress code... the free 15th Anniversary cape, which you can still claim! This is also the day when we sent you to google “Minecraft” and see what happens. Did you find out? There’s still time to try it, so why live with the FOMO? Plus, don’t forget to check out the Minecraft Spring 360º YouTube Shorts effect to immerse yourself in a crisp cherry grove.

DAY 4: Rewards on Twitch and TikTok

Did the party even happen if you don’t have the video footage to prove it? Minecraft creators streamed daily on Twitch, where our guests could earn the Purple Heart cape and a special Character Creator item, the Glitch Mask. And if that wasn’t enough, you can still earn the TikTok-themed cape by tuning into certain Minecraft creators’ streams on TikTok and commenting “Minecraft” to get the code!

DAY 5: 15th Anniversary Collection

Nothing says “I was there” like commemorative gear, so why not save yourself the trouble of answering when people ask “Were you at the Minecraft 15th anniversary celebration?” and show it off preemptively! There’s something for everyone, if everyone likes Minecraft merch.

DAY 6: 15 Year Journey map for Bedrock Edition

I’m usually very resistant to the idea of going to a second location because: 1) Why move when we can just stay here? and 2) See point 1. But Oreville Studios’ 15 Year Journey map had me sprinting to check out its nostalgic museum, complete with immersive exhibits and thrilling mini-games. After all, everyone knows that the best parties include a healthy dose of feuds!

DAY 7: New add-ons and a free party pack

One week into our celebrations, we all received a free add-on pack containing party supplies, courtesy of Oreville Studios! Was it incredibly convenient because we forgot to bring supplies on day one? Yes. Was it also deeply embarrassing because it took us seven days to bring party supplies to our own celebration? Very much so. Thankfully, everyone was distracted by all the new add-ons that launched on Minecraft Marketplace. Phew!

DAY 8: Minecraft x HiGround keyboards

More than a week in, my space bar was barely holding on after all my celebratory jumps. Thankfully, Higround had us covered with the new, limited-edition Minecraft collection. Now every time I hear the clickity-clack of my new keyboard, I remember the good times from our anniversary celebration.

DAY 9: Forza Horizon 5 and Microsoft Casual Suite join the party

A little competition never hurt no party – on the contrary! We fired up Forza Horizon 5 and burned plenty of rubber in our Minecraft-themed helmets. And for those who want to take a break from socializing but not from Minecraft, Solitaire and Mahjong’s new pixelated look definitely hit the spot.

DAY 10: Building IRL memories with LEGO Minecraft

Is it even a Minecraft party if you’re not building anything? Hardly. So we sat down and shared some of our core Minecraft memories the best way you can do it IRL: with LEGO Minecraft. We also watched some lucky creators build their own using the LEGO Brickerite Ore block, which they got to mine themselves.

DAY 11: Time Capsule

What’s the point of throwing a party if no-one remembers it? That’s why we’re preparing a Minecraft time capsule, which will contain some items picked by you, our community, as well as some surprises from us. The best part is you’ll only have to wait another 15 years to see them!

DAY 12: Art shaped by Minecraft

Our celebration also had its own creative corner, where many talented artists used Minecraft as their inspiration. Combining their signature styles with Minecraft’s unique style led to some breathtaking results, so check out the documentary and the artists’ pages!

DAY 13: MCC Live Event

Is planning another get-together before the current one has even ended a bit intense? Not in our book! Tune in this summer because we’re joining Noxcrew in hosting the prestigious MC Championship, featuring 40 streamers battling for the trophy! This year, the challenges will be inspired by 15 years of Minecraft. Can you tell we love a theme?

DAY 14: Minecraft National Park

It’s important to always keep an eye on the big picture, and we thought that a celebration is also a good time to call attention to an important cause: preserving wildlife. We teamed up with The Nature Conservancy, an environmental nonprofit organization, to build the Minecraft National Park, a world that celebrates the beauty of nature. We also donated $100,000 to The Nature Conservancy to support them in their fight against the effects of climate change.

DAY 15: Minecraft Experience

After two weeks of partying, what is there left to do? Oh, I don’t know, maybe literally entering Minecraft? Well, not literally, but Minecraft Experience is as close as you can get. This immersive adventure will travel around the world, with its first stop in the United States, specifically Dallas, Texas, opening this year on September 20. Tickets for this location are already on sale, so make sure to grab yours and block your calendar for the first ever IRL Minecraft adventure!

All the free Character Creator items

You didn’t think we’d leave out the party favors, did you? Well, we did forget the party supplies so I wouldn’t blame you if you did. Thankfully, we remembered to bring a free Character Creator item each and every day of the celebration, all still available to claim for a limited time! Unfortunately, the team rejected my idea of also offering a T-shirt that says: “I attended 15 Days of Minecraft and all I got was the Cave Game Hoodie, Crafting Cap, Ender Hood, Emerald Expert, Redstone Coat, Toe Guardians, Fleece Friends, Llama Hat, Parrot Slippers, Coral Blouse, Bee Boots, Nether Pants, Cozy Cave Dress, Allay Bandana, and Cherry Shawl.” I think that covers most of the fun we had at our birthday party. How did this celebration shape your world? Let us know by writing in the guestbook. Oh, we forgot to bring a guestbook? Well then, all that leaves is the matter of the dishes. Wait, where are you going?? Okay, I lied. I wasn’t going to make you do the dishes anyway because I like my dishwasher loaded in a very particular way but since you were nice enough to stay, here’s a bonus reminder: the Tricky Trials Update is out now on both Java and Bedrock! Enter the trial chambers, discover the mobs that lurk within, and reap the rewards. Are you ready to challenge yourself in new ways? Make sure you also explore Minecraft.net for tips and tricks on how to prepare for even the trickiest of trials! *Discounts may vary by region or platform. Limited time promotion.
