Arriving at the Lowland Shore
Your first steps into Janthir will take place in the Lowland Shore map, home of the Lowland Kodan. Here you will have the chance to immerse yourself amongst them by assisting in daily tasks, engaging in sporting competition, and dealing with localized threats. During your time here, you will also learn of their relationship with your soon-to-be mount, the Warclaw, known as "Journeykin".
Into Janthir Syntri
As you push deeper into the wilds, you’ll encounter reminders of the region’s dangerous reputation. Deep forests transition into sulfurous swamps and volcanic terrain, with ruins left by the past. Magical storms called Mists Tides sweep the area, accompanied by strange creatures known as titans appearing more frequently.
Warclaws in the Wilds
In Janthir, forge a bond with a warclaw mount and train a new Mastery line granting your warclaw new PvE skills! The warclaw, a highly mobile mount, features unique combat and exploration abilities:
- Chain Pull: Deals damage and pulls enemies closer.
- Battle Maul: Leaps forward for an area attack, stunning enemies.
- Sniff: Enhances allies while detecting nearby enemies and treasure.
- Lance: Throws a spear for damage and knockdown.
Mastery tiers include:
- **Nine Lives:** No fall damage while mounted.
- **Feline Reflexes:** Extend jumps in midair.
- **Wild Claws:** Hits enemies when dodging, granting endurance.
- **Feral Fury:** Increases damage while mounted, enhancing the Lance skill.
- **Well Rested:** Boosts endurance regeneration for mounts.
WvW Changes
The warclaw mount has been updated for WvW, improving the overall experience:
- Chain Pull: Now adds Weakened Frame effect for increased damage to gates and walls.
- Sniff: Highlights damaged structures for allies and enemies.
- Lance: Increased charges to 2.
