Introduction

Get ready for some exciting new additions and improvements that will enhance your gaming experience. First up, we have some class changes that will make your gameplay smoother than ever. Characters like Hashashin, Guardian, Sage, Drakania, and Maegu have been improved to quickly sheathe their Awakening Weapon and mount their horse with just a press of the ↑(W) key. Talk about convenience! But that's not all, folks. We've also made some changes to the Traveler's Map, Archaeologist's Map, and [Oasis] Traveler's Map. Now, when you use these maps, your character will be teleported after a certain amount of time. However, be careful because if you take damage or get hit by a debuff, the teleportation process will be canceled. We've also disabled the use of these maps while a debuff is applied, so plan your travels wisely. In addition, we've made some adjustments to the Escape function in the ESC menu. Now, when you use the Escape function, you will be moved away after a certain amount of time. Just like with the maps, if you take damage or get hit by a debuff, the escape preparation will be canceled. And remember, the Escape function cannot be used while a debuff is applied. Stay safe out there, adventurers! Now let's talk about the Ranger class. We've heard your feedback and addressed the stamina issues that the Succession Ranger faced while using Prime: Blasting Gust to move around during combat. We've made improvements to consume less stamina, making it easier for you to navigate the battlefield. Additionally, we've changed Prime: Ultimate: Blasting Gust to be an MP-consumed skill, alleviating your stamina concerns even further. We've also added an Invincible effect at the start of the Evasive Landing Shot, and improved the combo between evasive skills, making it a breeze to utilize during combat. New Additions and Improvements

Class Changes
  • Improved the following characters to quickly sheathe their Awakening Weapon and mount their horse, while pressing ↑(W) key.
    • Hashashin, Guardian, Sage, Drakania, Maegu
Guardian Drakania
  • Changed the Traveler’s Map, Archaeologist’s Map, and [Oasis] Traveler’s Map to teleport the character after a certain amount of time upon use.
    • If you take damage or get hit by a debuff, the preparation gets canceled.
    • Changed so that the Traveler’s Map and Archaeologist’s Map cannot be used while a debuff has been applied.
  • Changed so that you are moved away after a certain amount of time when using the Escape function in the ESC menu.
    • If you take damage or get hit by a debuff, the preparation gets canceled.
    • Changed so that the Escape function cannot be used while a debuff has been applied.
  • Changed the Character Selection, Escape, Tag Characters, Change Server, and the Traveler’s Map to be disabled during Emergency Escape.
  • Changed so that your character is no longer displayed on the minimap during Emergency Escape, even when within the affected area of the Flares or Quick Flares.

Ranger
The Succession Ranger frequently uses Prime: Blasting Gust to move around, which causes stamina issues during combat while moving. To address this, we improved Prime: Blasting Gust to consume less stamina, and changed Prime: Ultimate: Blasting Gust into the MP-consumed skill, alleviating stamina concerns. Additionally, the Invincible effect has been added at the start of the Evasive Landing Shot, and the combo between evasive skills has been improved, making it easier to utilize during combat.

  • Changed the Invincible effect timing when using the skill backwards, to be the same as when using it laterally.
Evasive Landing Shot
  • Added the Invincible effect at the start of the skill.
  • Improved to combo better into Twisting Wind after using the skill.
  • Improved so that the skill can be comboed from the Prime: Nature’s Tremble.
  • Improved so that the extra attack of Evasive Explosion Shot is triggered by pressing LMB after using the skill.
Prime: Penetrating Wind
  • Changed the skill’s stun effect on hits → knockdown on hits.
Wind Explosion Shot
  • Changed the defense effect of the skill.
    • Before: Forward Guard → Super Armor
    • After: Super Armor
  • Increased the speed of the backward movement when using the skill.
  • Improved so that the skill can be combed into the following skills smoothly:
    • Extreme: Charging Wind, Evasive Landing Shot, Evasive Explosion Shot, Twisting Wind, Succession: Call from Sky
Binding Arrow
  • Improved so that the skill can be comboed into the following skills smoothly:

  • Changed the skill description for the Invincible effect of the skill to match its actual effect.

  • Changed the attack range and aiming distance of the skill.

Musa
For Succession Musa, the stamina consumed for the skills with Serene Mind, and the stamina recovery of those skills have been adjusted. This makes it easier to manage stamina while continuously attacking, rather than waiting for a chance to attack using skills like Chase. In addition, the effects have been modified so that you can choose the Skill Enhancement (Rabam) for Lv. 58 according to your playstyle.

  • Improved the character to rotate according to the camera, when charging during Prime: Gale attack 2.
    • So the mouse movement has been disabled during the skill.

Now, you can create a combo that utilizes various skills including Severing Light, Sword of Judgment, and Shield Throw.

Hashashin
The Hashashin is a class that deals fatal damage to enemies, inspired by the desert’s assassins. However, since their skills do not have an accuracy rate effect, it was difficult for them to deal fatal damage to opponents with high evasion. To address this, Prime: Aal’s Dominion adds a accuracy rate +15% for 10 sec when using skills, allowing for sustained high accuracy rate when attacking with chain skills. Some Awakening skills have also been given accuracy rate increase effects.

Crimson Dragon Garmoth

The spawn method of the Crimson Dragon Garmoth has temporarily changed. Now, Garmoth will appear a total of 14 times a week. Adventurers can defeat Garmoth when they are available among the 14 appearances to obtain a maximum of 3 rewards. (As the frequency of Garmoth’s appearance has changed, its health has been adjusted to allow for a more manageable battle even with fewer people. This may be further adjusted.) These rewards are given in the form of weekly quests. You can receive the weekly quest from Kukao near the Node Manager NPC, and then defeat Garmoth at your convenience to obtain the rewards. In addition, to allow more adventurers to obtain good loot, the type of reward obtained based on damage dealt has been standardized, so you can aim for better rewards at your discretion. Ash Forest

The fog of Ash Forest has thickened, and even more ghosts are targeting adventurers.   • The fog of Ash Forest thickens, and rumors about the missing adventurer continue to spread throughout the grey forest. Guards at Acher Guard Post talk of a story that the ghosts of the Ash Forest are the spirits of the forest that were swallowed by the ash storm of the past. Amidst the silence of the thickening fog, the guards are on high alert and in a state of vigilance.

Dehkia's Lantern

Dehkia’s Lantern was added with today’s update.

When used in Ash Forest and Olun’s Valley, Dehkia’s Lantern activates in the field and the affected monsters awaken, becoming more powerful. This enables our Adventurers to try for better loot.

This content was prepared as a means to more actively utilize the fields of Black Desert. After the Calpheon and Elvia update, there was a shortage of monster zones for skilled adventurers for a long time. However, through Dehkia’s Lantern, we can expand the zones for these adventurers more quickly. They're not completely, but we’ve designed it to provide some new entertainment, so we hope you enjoy playing it.

Dehkia’s Lantern will also be applied to Thornwood Forest, Tunkuta, and Cyclops Land after Ash Forest and Olun’s Valley, and we will prepare for a smooth transition to the new zone, Ulukita.   • A new artifact, Dehkia’s Lantern, was discovered in the ancient stronghold, Atoraxxion, which was built to prevent the invasion of the Dark Invader. The first person to discover this artifact was Lafi Bedmountain of the Secret Guards. He named it Dehkia’s Lantern, speculating that it was an enhancement device for ancient weapons created by Atoraxxion’s founder, Dehkia, in preparation for the Black Spirit’s invasion. However, further investigation has revealed another secret, causing great concern. You can learn more during the quests to obtain Dehkia’s Lantern.

How to Use and Deactivate Dehkia's Lantern


RMB Dehkia's Lantern from your Bag (I) to use it.
Upon use, you will become temporarily invincible against monsters and awaken monsters within the set area.
Close the Dehkia's Lantern UI during use to deactivate it.
It has a 10 min cooldown after deactivation.

How to Charge Dehkia's Lantern

Dehkia's Lantern has 300 durability and consumes 1 per minute.
Durability can be recharged with Dehkia's Light, 1 per light.
Dehkia's Lantern recharge UI can be opened with the button at the bottom of your Bag (I).
